Zara tee & a message

As of late, I've been feeling recharged in my faith and I owe it all to God. In case you didn't know, I am a believer of Christ and have been able to receive everything I've shared or you've seen because of Him. He has been gracious enough to bless me beyond what I deserve and I'm oh so thankful.

Fashion Friday is suppose to be a time when I share a cute outfit and talk about something relating to the day I shot it. That was my plan, but as I was going over these wonderful edits from Bluufox Photography, I noticed my shirt said, "Why Not You?" and had to chuckle. God is truly hilarious. I found myself asking why spend time writing about such a casual fashion outfit, when I could possibly encourage someone with the simple quote it features?
Recently, I've been thinking about my future and all I wish to accomplish. I want a big life- not materialistically, but just in general- and I believe God is probably going to come through. Praying and believing that one! Nonetheless, I know the life I want will require lots of hard work, dedication, and obedience. It can get kind of intimidating to aspire toward unconventional success and happiness, especially when you don't have a game plan of how to get there or when everyone gives you safer options to strive toward.

I personally come from a safe family. My father is very realistic and encourages a plan A-D, which causes him to not always see the vision lol.
But I also come from a very big God who provides the vision, does miracles on the daily, and gives the desires of the heart. As a christian, I've been taught that God is wiling to provide the desires of heart if we ask and I think its worth asking. I also know that God has a plan for all of our lives that is better than anything we could come up with. If we let him, we can be blessed and directed to a life better than our wildest imagination that will also allow us to fulfill our God given purpose.

I come back to the "Why Not You" on my shirt and think of all the dreams and desires that lie in everyone's heart. If our God is willing to bless us with them, why do we think we wont get them? Why should we cower from chasing a dream or aspiration when we know God is beyond capable? If He can do it once, He can do it again and again, for me and for you. As long as it's apart of his plan or nothing that would harm us, the only thing holding us back would be us.
I think God is very intentional because this has been the week I've done the most soul searching lately. My #1 goal in life is to live according to God's Plan (S/O to Drake) in order to fulfill my purpose. I know that when this earthly life is aligned with God's way for me, I will be at my best and that's the goal. He has also reminded me the importance to walk by faith and not by sight. A small, but important gem that is often forgotten. I've rambled a lot, but i hope you got something from this. With the holy spirit living in us, we have the power of God coursing through us too. Philippians 4:13 is a wonderful, and probably the most popular verse, to remember when we start to feel unsure.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
