Maxi Moment at Local Oak

One of my worst habits is spending money on food! I'm a foodie through and through and I just can't help myself. A good meal can literally change my whole mood and I don't know whether that's good or bad! Luckily, Dallas has a LOT of place that I can go to get a good meal. I have my normal, tried and true go-to's, but there are many other places that are new to me.
I had “blunch” at a restaurant called Local Oak in the Bishop Arts District a few weeks ago and it was so nice. We, Chance and I, loved the complete ambiance of the place and really enjoyed the experience. The food was nice too! I had chicken finger that were battered in Frosted Flakes and Cap’n Crunch. Different, but nice nonetheless.
The beautiful patio section was the perfect area for our shoot. They have both a decorated section with these cute blue benches with plants and outdoorsy nicknacks that make the area seem almost “homey”. I'm one of those people who like to dine outside, so I really want to go back and eat out there. It's perfect if the weather isn't too hot and you want a relaxed vibe.
One of my favorite parts of the business is their wishing tree. You simply write a wish on one of the tags provided, attach it to the tree, and then wish someone else’s wish to come true. I love things like that - selfless, positive,  and giving to the next person. The wish I picked to wish for has actually stayed on my mind and I find myself praying for the person when I say my prayers.
