The Canadian Tux

Happy Tuesday!

For some strange reason, I’m very happy about this week. I have nothing planned aside from dinner tonight, but I know it's going to be an easy week, which is always good. That’s something I let transcend for the look of this week and went casual in good ole denim on denim.

Denim is my favorite fabric ever. I own so MANY jeans it’s ridiculous and I have a nice collection of denim shirts because I. LOVE. DENIM. It goes without saying all the things you can pair denim with, but when combined on top and bottom, it’s a timeless look that’s an easy go-to that can be dressed up or down.
I went for the dressed down look because I had plans to go to the State Fair of Texas and wanted to be comfortable. With different shades, I used the color of my belt, which has seen better days, to be a neutral for the look, as the shoes and jewelry coordinated with it.  I also want to point out that I did the lighter on top and darker on bottom “rule” that people say is best when doing the combo.

I go to my granny for all my jewelry because I’m such a simple ‘necklace and ring girl’, and she completely surprised me with this set since it matched so well! My sneakers are Michael Kors and the same color with silver toe shells that give me the perfect opportunity to bring in my silver bag.

I mentioned above how this was a causal look for the fair and I just want to say that didn't happen. Plans changed and I went to get my nails done and just changed into some flip flops, and this is just me talking about how versatile this tux is because it was a whole new look! I cant wait to bring denim on denim back in a completely different way for you guys!
