In October, We Wear Pink

Every October, I like to wear my nails pink in support of it being breast cancer awareness month and I had an amazing idea to do nothing but pink outfits all October! I know of a few women who are battling and have battled this atrocious illness, and I thought dressing in pink could be a way to say, “Hey, I’m thinking of you and I pray things get better.” It's a small gesture, but it’s something that can mean a lot.
When I decided to do all pink looks, I initially got a little worried because I though about my closet and how all my pink was dressy, girly, and a little off season.  It took a bit of inspo searching on pinterest before I came to see how good pink and black look good together, if its consistent in terms of the general look.

Dallas is going up and down in temperature, so I picked this lace turtle neck from my closet. It is so feminine that I cant help but to love it. It is completely transparent, so I typically do with a pink, brown (the nude for me), or tan bra. I’m not one to shy away from skin, so it doesn't bother me, but I could easily put on a pink or nude cami underneath!
I wanted to be feminine on top with a causal edge on bottom, so I picked my black jeans. Gap is my go-to for black denim because they will NOT fade after 10 washes and they last forever. These jeans are very figure flattering and I felt they looked good with the top and gave a causal look without being too girly.

I’m a sucker for boots in the fall and winter and got these at one of Zara’s sales for literally $24. They’re real leather and surprising comfortable despite the heel height. I didn't do any accessories besides a ring and pearl bracelet because I wanted the top to stand alone. Jewelry isn’t my favorite thing about fashion for me, so I used the lace as an excuse to not do the most.
