Hey Girl, Hey

I’m so happy you found your way to Syd and the City! I really hope you like what you’re seeing so far and plan to stick around for a bit! Hopefully you read the Sydney section and feel like you found a cool internet space, but if you didn't read it, please stop and go check it out.

I recently went to Trinity Groves and dressed in this amazing piece that is a…romper! It features exposed shorts in the back, but has a skort detail in the front that makes most people think it’s a dress. I love how easy it made dressing and also the versatility of it. It can be dressed up or down depending on what look I’m going for and the color is a bonus. The orange is so vibrant that I think it's a multi-seasonal piece that can provide a pick me up whenever it’s worn.

Because it has silver hardware, I felt it would be best to keep my accessories in line with that. I personally love simple hoops, but wanted to do a bit more with the earrings. I went digging through my grandmother’s jewelry collection and found these and loved them for the shape. A basic silver watch and a few silver and colored rings followed as well.

Since this is the inaugural outfit for the blog, I desired to be dressier and opted for heels. I’m a sucker for metallic heels and while I do love simple one strap sandals, the t-strap of this shoe really  spoke to me because it added flair to my feet. I’m pretty short and the ankle strap combined with the length of the romper really made my legs look longer, which is such a win in my book!
