Food Find: Relish

Restaurant ∙ Relish
Location ∙ Klyde Warren Park 2000 Woodall Rodgers Fwy, Dallas, TX 75201
Signature Dish ∙ Burger + Fries

I must preface this and say that Relish is not new to me. I first found this gem in 2014, but have dined here only 3 times. It’s a good meal if I’m in the park, but I’m hardly in the park .To be fair to the Food Finds I present , I tried  something new and the whole find is based solely on this meal! The ‘Bacon and Caramelized Onion Relish Burger’ can only be described in three words: SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I literally took one bite and looked at my lunch date and started raving. I also found a few choice words floating in my head to describe my shock, but that's neither here nor there.

It comes with lettuce, tomato –which I excluded-, Swiss cheese, and grain mustard. This was my first time eating onions on an actual burger and it was so good. The texture normally deters me away from eating them, but I believe they were chopped or diced because I never encountered any strings of slickness through the whole burger.

For the side item, I ordered the plain fries and they were hot and fresh. I paired them with ketchup and found myself really working to finish them all. They’re a traditional fry but on the thicker side, so they are very filling and the portion sizes match the burger perfectly.

I could honestly see myself repeating this meal often whenever I’m at Klyde. I’m typically a cheeseburger or hotdog eater, but I wasn't disappointed and think I'd give a few of their other options a try. The menu isn’t the largest, but I can say they have something for everyone since you can ultimately customize everything to your liking.

The actual restaurant is outdoors with a few table and chairs and tall bar right in front of the window. It has a lovely Southwest sponsored Porch to the left of its designated area, so people have the option to decide how they’ll dine. My experiences have always been well and this wasn't an exception!
